There are few days as meaningful as the one where you stand beside the person you love and promise a future together. At Christ Church, we would be honoured to be part of that moment. Our historic church, at the heart of Prestatyn for centuries, offers a beautiful, sacred space for your wedding ceremony. Whether you’re dreaming of a grand celebration or a simple, heartfelt service, our team is here to guide and support you every step of the way.
Every wedding at Christ Church’ is unique. Some couples choose a traditional service steeped in history and hymns; others prefer something more personal and modern. Whatever your style, your ceremony will be a deeply meaningful celebration of love, commitment, and faith, shared with those who matter most.
01.
To be married at Christ Church’, one of you must have what’s known as a qualifying connection with the church. That could mean you live in the parish now, have lived here in the past, were baptised or confirmed here, or have parents or grandparents with a link to the church. If you’re not sure whether you qualify, don’t worry, we can talk you through the options and help you explore ways to make Christ Church part of your story.
02.
Most couples marry by publication of banns, a traditional legal requirement where your intention to marry is announced during a Sunday service on three separate weeks in the three months before your wedding.
If either of you is not a UK citizen, or if there are other special circumstances, you may need a licence instead. We’ll guide you through whichever process is right for you.
03.
From music and readings to flowers and photographs, your wedding will be shaped around what matters most to you.
Early conversations with our team will help us understand your hopes for the day, and together we’ll plan a ceremony that’s personal, meaningful, and rooted in the faith and traditions of the Church in Wales.
